Kenmore Elite Wall Oven won't heat up after power outage, why?

We have had several power outages recently and since the last one our 30" April 2005 Kenmore Elite Wall Oven will not heat up. Is there a way to reset it to restore functionality? The clock, control panel and convection fan work. However, we get no heat when trying any of the cooking functions. Please let me know if you need any more info. Thanks so much!

If neither bake or broil element works the failure is likely a tripped circuit breaker or a failed oven control board. I recommend locating the two (2) house circuit breakers dedicated for the oven and reset both circuit breakers by flipping them both OFF and back ON 2-3 times and then check to see if the oven will heat.

If it continues to not heat the failure could be:

Voltage supply

Failed oven control board (most likely)

Burnt wire connection

Both elements burnt out

I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your oven if resetting the house circuit breakers dedicated for oven does not resolve the failure. I hope this helps.

Managemylife.com is a great place to find the answers to just about anything, especially on a range. I use my oven almost daily to make baked goods. I would suggest that you provide a little more information such as the make and complete model number of your product, so your expert will be able to provide you with the best possible answer. Just click on reply down below, where you can provide the additional information.
