snow blower chute won't move

My craftsman snowblower has been used twice in very light snow. It is hard to compress the button on the handle to move the chute horizontally. What can be done to fix this?

Thank you for adding the model number. We have this model here so I was able to see how the control works. I recommend applying a little grease to the end of the pin that moves when you pull the handle. This should help the pin slide out of the locking holes. If this does not help, I recommend taking it in for service. The link below will show you the closest repair location. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the snow blower. I have not heard that we are having any problems with the chute controls. If you could please reply below with the model number, I will be happy to check your model. Once I have the model number I will check for any know problems and it there is a place you can make any adjustment.

Thank you for using Manage my life.

In snowy areas the snow blower can really come in handy. I suggest you add to the thread of this question and include the full model number of your snow blower so that the expert can provide you with a more detailed answer. I am adding a link below to help you with your question while you wait for your expert response.
