Kenmore Washer Model # 48102/48106

My Kenmore washer Model # 48102/48106 only added a small amount of water, the drum will not turn or will the standing water drain. There is power to the machine all displays are lit.

I assume that your washer begins with the prefix 417. . . such as 417.48102 . . . or 417.48106 . . .

On that type of washer, the control will normally signal an error code when the washer stops and will not continue in the cycle. That error code normally points to the cause of your problem. I provided information in the images below that should help you recall or determine the fault code that is being signaled. If you cannot recall the fault code, you can run that diagnostic test to test the major components. The 4th image shows the wiring diagram for your washer. Loose wiring connections on the control board or a component could be causing your problem. You can use that information to check the wiring connections if necessary. Be sure that you

unplug the washer

before accessing internal components.
