Replacing a trolley rack on a screw drive garage door opener.

I want to get instructions on how to replace a trolley rack part no. 81C168.

My garage door manual model 139.5399211 doesn't reflect that. Are there videos or parts replacement instructions somewhere online. Please help, thanks.

I know how important it is to have the proper instructions when repairing the trolley rack for your garage door. I was able to find a couple links that include helpful information for this repair. I attached the links below. I hope this helps.

I know that it can be very difficult to have issues with your garage door opener. In order to remove and replace the trolley, first you will need to have help holding the opener or you need to take it down to the ground. If you take it down label the wires you take off.

Take the pin and cotter pin out of the trolley pull. This is what connects the trolley to the draw bar. At the end of the unit there are bolts that attach it to a T fastener. Take these out. Have someone hold the unit while you work on it. Pull the red cord down and bring the rail either a couple of inches down or up so you can slip the old one off and the new one on, then reverse the process. You can grease the rail with graphite grease and only that. You can find any replacement parts at searspartsdirect.com, click on contact us for help. Do a 2x4 safety reversal test and use a surge protector on the opener.
