How to Remove GE Oven Temperature Sensor

I have a GE oven about 14 years old, model No. 326B1016P001. The oven gives me a faulty code, so I think I need to replace the temperature sensor. However, After removing the two screws, I still cannot take the sensor out. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Just for future reference; the model number you provided is not the model number of the oven. The number appears to be a part number and not a model number.

Once the two screws have been removed you should be able to slide it out and disconnect the harness connector. If you not able to slide the oven temperature sensor out, the wires could be too short or the harness plug is hanging on something. You will likely need to remove the wall oven and then remove the rear panel to access the temperature sensor harness connector.

NOTE: Disconnect the range from the power source before removing the rear panel

You could also cut the two wires and splice the new temperature sensor to the existing two wires. You can use the wire nuts that normally come with the sensor. This will prevent you from having to remove the wall oven.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

The oven temperature sensor would seem to be a part that could be easily removed. While you wait for the expert response, I did locate a video and a web link that may help. I attached both below. I hope these links help.
