As far as the light and the door alarm, the problem sounds like the door switch is faulty and sticky. Check and see if the door button is dirty or something in the way impeding the operation.
The frost on the top panel and inside of the door seal could be the door seal leaking. Take a dollar bill and place it with the door open at each corner and pull it out. Notice the resistance and then place the bill in the middle of the door where the ice is forming and repeat the test, less resistance means you need to replace the seal on the door.
