Kenmore Bottom Freezer Refrig. - water leak when I turn ice maker on.

My Kenmore refrigerator model 795.71016 recently started leaking when I turned the ice maker back on. I had the ice maker shut off while on vacation and after we returned and I turned the ice maker on, there was water coming from underneath after it had been on for about 30 mins. No issues with the water line in the back or drinking water. Everything else seems to be operating fine. Any thoughts on what might be causing the issue?

Sometimes you just need a lot of ice a sultry summer day, a party, a sprained ankle. So when its not working properly it can be really frustrating. While you are waiting on an expert to answer your question, I found a great link in the Manage My Life website on your problem. I have attached the link below. Hope this helps!

Thank you for your question. I understand your concern about the water leak. If the water only leaks under the unit when the icemaker is turned on, the 2 most likely reasons will be with the water valve or the line connected from the water valve to the icemaker. The valve and the water line will be located in the back of the unit behind the panel cover. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will assist you further.
