Good morning... I can fully understand your concern regarding this issue.
I did locate a link that will discuss your situation in greater detail.
Though this link discusses a different model number, the mechanics are likely going to be very similar.
Keep in mind that an expert will be responding within the next two business
days if not sooner and will likely offer you more information and instruction.
I hope this link will help guide you as to what might be wrong with your dishwasher and have a nice day.

Thank you for your question.  I am sorry you are having problems with your

Kenmore 665.16372301 dishwasher

Caution:  Before attempting any repair on the dishwasher, turn the power off first.

I'm not entirely clear on what you mean by the cycle not finishing.  One potential problem would be the dishwasher stalls in the middle of the cycle but keeps running.  This might indicate a water heating problem during the part of the cycle where the dishwasher stalls to heat the water.  Another potential problem would be the dishwasher acutally stops running during the cycle.  This might indicate a motor problem or even a door switch problem.  There are a couple of things you can try to narrow the cause of the problem down.  You can try the Rinse Only cycle.  It is only about 12 minutes long and should just fill, wash and drain.  You can also try to enter and run a diagnostic cycle.  The instructions are in the image below.

The problem might be best solved by a technician.  You can have the dishwasher repaired in your home by a Sears technician.  Here is the link:

Try the rinse only and the test and reply below with any additional details for further assistance.  Thank you for using Manage My Life.
