my refrigerator stopped running (lights out no power) when I opened the door. GE profile performance Model TPX24PPDA WW
still have power in the rest of the house

Good afternoon.... I can understand your dismay and confusion over having your refrigerator fail. I did locate a link that will discuss your situation in greater detail.

. I understand how frustrating it is having trouble with your appliance not working.

The power at the wall outlet  should be checked using a lamp to insure the power is at the outlet.  If you have power there I would recommend you to call 

Sears Home Services

 and have a technician out for troubleshooting and repair.  If the lamp does not light the problem is with int electric circuits and if the breaker is not tripped you would need a electrician out the solve the problem.
