replace adjuster on my Kenmore Elite Ultra Wash Dishwasher

On one side of the top rack, the adjuster rollers broke. I have the replacement part but I need to know how to safely remove the old adjuster.

I've attached a photo so you can see what I'm talking about.

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when needing to replace the adjuster on your dishwasher rack. I did locate instructions on how to complete the replacement as well as remove the previous adjuster.

 how to remove adjuster:

1.

Start by prying the tabs at the top of the adjuster cover out of the square holes

2.

You can then pry the tabs at the bottom of that cover out of the round holes on each side of the positioner

3.

Remove the cover and take the positioner off

4.

Remove the clips from the adjuster

5.

Remove the adjuster

How to install adjuster:

1.

Remove the upper rack from the dishwasher. The track stop should hinge outward to release that upper rack.

2.

Position the adjuster assembly on the rack.

3.

Place the positioner clip on the back side of that assembly.

4.

Place the strap clip on the front side of the positioner assembly.

5.

Secure the positioner with the middle clip.

6.

Position the adjuster assembly on the top of the rack.

7.

Place the adjuster cover over the adjuster assembly and snap the bottom tabs into the holes at the bottom of that adjuster assembly.

8.

Position the adjuster properly on the rack and snap the top tabs of the cover into the square holes on the top of the adjuster assembly.

Let me know if this helps. Also let me know if you need any other information.

Thank you for your question. Have a great day.
