Trouble shooting for Kenmore Elite washer, model Oasis HE, error code F1; inquiring on recall or free compensatory Replacement part and installation.

I have an Kenmore Elite Oasis HE washer and have been unable to do a full load of wash without being interrupted by theF1 error code. Upon investigation of this problem through consumer reports and product recalls, I found that this model of washer was recalled a few years ago for the same issues that I am having. I also found that for those who like me that were having the issues but were unaware of the recall, Sears compensated them by simply sending a replacement part for the faulty one causing the error codes, and Sears followed this by offering free installation to those who were in need of the replacement. I would like to simply get this part (associated with error code F1) replaced, free of charge preferably, and possibly get it installed as well. Thank you for your time,

Jarron Storm

Thank you for your question. I am sorry to hear you are having repeated problems with the washer. The F1 error code indicates that the water level pressure transducer signal is out of range. It may indicate a control problem if the error continues, but there are important troubleshooting steps that need to be done first to verify the normal causes are not responsible. Please see image below. If there is a faulty part or appliance, this needs to be confirmed by a Sears technician. You can schedule a technician at

if there was a recall or service flash for this issue then the parts and labor will be paid to sears by the manufacture. you should have been notified by the manufacture or sears about the recall but sometimes one slips through the cracks. call the 1 800 4 my home and have them check the recall on your model # and they will set everything up the parts and a service call for a tech to come out for the repair with no charge to you if the model # of your washer is on a recall or service flash list.
