I see that this question is from 2013! I hope you received the help you needed. In the future, you'll want to make sure you purchase an extended warranty on your tablet (most manufacturer warranties only cover a year), just in case. For this issue, since it was under a year, you'd want to contact the manufacturer to find out how they'd get you a replacement, and if you qualify for it.
You'll need to keep the receipt no matter what. Take a picture of it with your phone and save it just in case you lose the paper. If you ordered it with your SYW account, the receipt info is stored there!
