I have a Sears Kenmore electric dryer model # 110.64962300. There are 3 terminals at the terminal block. My power cord has 4 wires, Black, White, Red, and Green. What goes where?

CAUTION:

BE SURE THE POWER CORD IS NOT PLUGGED IN WHEN MAKING THESE CONNECTIONS

Follow the steps below to wire up a 4 wire dryer power cord.

Remove the center terminal block screw

Remove the dryers ground wire ( green with yellow stripes) from the external ground connector screw. Fasten it under the center, silver colored terminal block screw.

Connect the Green wire of the power supply cord to the external ground conductor screw. Tighten screw.

Connect the neutral wire (White wire) of the power supply cord under the center screw of the terminal block.

Connect the Red wire under one of the outside terminal screws and tighten.

Connect the Black wire under the other outside terminal screw and tighten.

Tighten the strain relieve screws

Insert tab of terminal block cover into slot of dryer rear panel. Secure cover with hold-down screw.
