How can I replace my soffit vent screening. I have a 30 year old house with oval opening in wood.

Depending on how your soffits are constructed, you could take apart the soffit, and replace the screening, then put the soffit back together. This is likely quite a bit of work, but might be necessary depending on how you want it to look when completed. You could also put a new layer of wood over the soffit, and sandwich a piece of screening between the old and new wood. You could also buy some screened vent covers (such as those typically used for venting crawlspaces), and cut the existing holes to a larger, rectangular size, and install the vents over top of the new holes.
