My Sump Pump keeps beeping. What does that mean?

My sump pump Model No. 390.304611 keeps beeping. It beeps twice and then does not do it again for about 10 minutes. It has never done this before and we have had this one for about 10 years. The sump pump works fine. What does that beeping noise mean?

The information we have on your sump pump show it is a submersible pump with a float switch and a cord that plugs into a 120 volt wall outlet.

Did you buy battery back up with a charger? If you did that is probably what is beeping. They will beep to tell you the battery is getting low.

The pump doesn't have anything on it to beep. If you have a battery back-up the battery probably needs to be replaced.
