How do I replace the drive block on my Kenmore washer?

I have a Kenmore washer model number 110.26862503. The Washer is grinding down after the spin cycle and a repairman told me it was a stripped block under the basket that was bad. He wanted $90 for the part which I found for $6.90. I can probably do this myself with some instructions and a local purchase of the part at Sears.

In order to replace the drive block, the basket will have to be removed. First

disconnect electrical power

from the washer. Use a putty knife to release the clips that hold the console down to the top. These clips are located under the end caps. Flip the console up & over. Unplug the lid switch. Use a flat blade screwdriver to release the large spring clips that holds the back panel to the cabinet. Slide the complete cabinet off the frame of the washer. Remove the tub cover by releasing the plastic clips around the outer tub. Remove the agitator. Now you will need a spanner wrench to remove the spanner nut securing the basket to the spin tube. The spanner nut turns CCW to remove. You should be able to replace the drive block at this time. Be sure the tabs of the spin tube are in the slots of the drive block before tightening the spanner nut.
