Why do some of my gutters leak between the fascia and the back of the gutter?

Your roof likely does not have a drip edge installed underneath the end of the shingles. This is a metal piece of flashing which helps kick water out into the gutter, so it doesn't wick up the shingles, or drip off the shingles and end up in behind the gutter.

You may also want to check that the gutters and downspouts are not plugged or improperly sloped, and then actually overflowing during a rainstorm.
