I've lost the instruction booklet to my recently purchased Craftsman universal garage door remote, model#53751 and can't program the unit for operation.

That system should program about the same as other SRT-style remotes. See

image below

.

The only difference might be the location of the Smart/SRT/Learn button. Being a universal receiver, the remotes program to that receiver and not to the overhead opener, so you may need to find the SRT button on the receiver itself to program with.

Usually these universal receiver type systems have the button on the lower edge of their own receiver or under the cover of the receiver.

If you lost the instruction that came with it then you may want to contact the store you purchased it through or the

Sears PartsDirect

site to see if you can get another copy.

Unfortunately, we do not yet have an electronic copy of the instruction here at Manage My Home for that particular model as we already do for most others.
