How many cranking amps does a replacement battery for Craftsman generator model 580.329140 need?

I want to replace the battery that came with my model number 580.329140 Craftsman generator. I want to purchase a more reasonably priced motorcycle/lawn tractor battery ($35.00), instead of spending $150.00 for the specialty battery that comes with the generator. Since it is a 12 volt lead acid battery that came with the generator, a motorcycle/lawn tractor 12 volt battery should work. Should I just get the battery that has the most cranking amps that fits the battery platform?

The cranking amp information is not available per the manufacturer of the engine.

The proper amperage produced by the original battery is what is recommended by the engine and the generator manufacturer. Therefore it is advisable to replace your battery with the one that the manufacturer recommends
