Why did my Whirlpool dryer stop spinning?

by Manage My Life Last activity date:

My LER7620KQ0 dryer stopped spinning. I checked the belt and it is tight. The motor sounds the same as it always did. The heating element is working & I can spin the drum manually.

If you can spin the drum manually & the motor is running correctly then the belt must be off or the dryer would be spinning. I would recommend checking the belt.
