How do I remove the filter housing on my Frigidaire Gallery dishwasher?

by Manage My Life Last activity date:

I have a Frigidaire Gallery dish washer model FDB878GCT0
I bought a spinner, cover and seal almost a year ago and cannot put it on. Is there a screw that holds the cover on? Something is missing.
Help!

The filter housing cover (key#25) has a small locking tab molded to the housing. The locking tab will be next to the little stand pipe protruding up from the filter housing cover, but it will be on the outer edge of the filter housing. Use a flat blade screwdriver to pry the filter housing locking tab up enough to clear the tab and then rotate the filter housing cover counterclockwise (CCW) to remove it. I added images below with instructions.
