Why does my washer stop working when it gets to the rinse cycle?

I have a Kenmore 300 washer model 110.28322700. When it gets to the rinse cycle, it stops and will not fill with water. If I go around to the start it will fill then I can put it on rinse and it will continue to the end. Could this be the circuit board/timer?

This symptom does point to a failed contact in the timer. You could also have a wiring failure that could cause this problem. I recommend calling as service technician to diagnose and repair this type of failure.
