Why did the thermal fuse on my Kenmore dishwasher model 665.17822000 blow twice?

The thermal fuse is blowing during the rinse cycle. We have tried turning off the high temp wash and it still blows the thermal fuse.

The thermal fuse blowing is most likely caused be a loose connection in the harness.

The correct thermal fuse must be used for you particular dishwasher. For this dishwasher the correct part number for the thermal fuse is 675813. This part number is a fuse kit and the entire kit must be installed. If any parts in the kit are left out then the fuse will blow again.

If the wrong fuse or the complete kit is not installed then the fuse will blow again.

If the complete kit is installed then the fuse doesn't blow again.

The image below contains the instructions for changing the thermal fuse.

I hope this resolves your problem but if you have any additional questions then submit another question for further assistance.
