Why is my gas grill not lighting?

by Manage My Life Last activity date:

I have a Kenmore Quantum Series gas grill model number 415.162340. I turn on the gas to attempt to light the burners, no flame & starts to stink with propane. That's when I turn it off.

If the unit will not light using the automatic igniter, you will need to check the igniter & electrode. If the unit will not light using a match, you have a gas supply issue. I recommend checking the flow valve & the LP tank coupling. Please see the images provided below for more troubleshooting tips.
