Why won't my auto igniter stop igniting on my Jenn air gas stove?

It's a 5 burner gas stove / double electric oven. The center burner's auto igniter will not stop igniting unless the stove is unplugged!

Did anyone ever find a solution to this issue ? I am having the same problem. Cleaned and checked all the burners. All I can do is unplug to stop the igniter. Jenn Air four burner , downdraft ccoktop.

Hi-We have the same stove, 5 burner dual fuel and it has the same problem. there were actually 2 small pops under the burner controls with sparks flying, and it continues to spark. Caller Jenn Air for warranty repairs. I will let you know what we learn.

I have the same problem, 5 burner / double electric oven. We can find model number, maybe it is on the back. I washed the stove top, how do I get it to stop clicking or where would I find the model number?

Without knowing the model number of your range I will not be able to provide any specific information only general. There will likely be a switch located over the stem of each burner valve. The spark igniter switch should be sitting stationary on top of the valve. When you turn the gas valve it causes the switch to close and complete an electrical circuit to the spark module and it begins sparking and making the clicking sound. If you had a boil over or if water spilled into one of the burner valves it will cause the switch to short and start clicking and sparking at the electrodes.

I recommend resubmitting your question with the model number for model specific information and repair instructions.
