Can I use my Samsung steam dryer without having to connect it to a water supply?

I have a Samsung dryer with steam. The Sears stock number is 88281. Can I use the dryer without the steam hose attached?

I assume you mean the water supply hose when you stated "steam hose". The manual states that the water supply hose

must

be connected to the cold water supply. If you do not select "Refresh or Wrinkle Care" the steamer will not operate. I could not find any information stating that the water supply would have to be connected with a cold water supply or not. I would have to assume that if you do not select "Refresh or Wrinkle Care" you would not need a cold water supply connected to the dryer.

I recommend installing the Y connector and installing the cold water hose to the dryer so that you can get the full benefit of the "Refresh and Wrinkle Care" options.
