Why did the remote stop working on my Hunter fan?

I have a Hunter fan. The remote model is 85095-01. The battery voltage measured 11 volts. I substituted a battery with a 12 volt battery from another remote. This did not make a difference. The remote worked well for 4 years. The light function and dimmer works. The 3 speed functions do not work. There is no high speed even though it makes a click sound. The medium speed works. The low speed does not work.

The model number that you provided does not give me enough information to access technical data on your fan and remote. Even with the full model number or the name of the fan, our technical information is limited in regards to the Hunter fans. Although we want to help you and will still assist you in this matter if needed, you may be able to get help quicker through the technical assistance line from Hunter. Their phone number is 1-888-830-1326. They are available Monday from Friday 7am to 7pm CST (Saturday 8am – 5pm). Here is a link for the Hunter fan website that has more support information:

Hunter Customer Care Center

You can find the model number of your fan on a plate that is on top of the motor housing (facing the ceiling). You will need this model number when contacting the Hunter fan technical support.

If you need more help from us, resubmit your question with the full model number and name of your Hunter fan.
