What is the highest temperature that a 2500 watt electric stove burner gets to?

I have a Kenmore electric range model 665.95002101. I am replacing the ceramic smooth top surface with a heat resistant glass surface as it is 25% of the cost of a replacement top.

There is a thermal limiter on the elements that protects the glass cook top from heat damage. This thermal limiter opens at about 1000 degrees.

I strongly recommend that you do not attempt to alter the range by replacing the glass cook top with a heat resistant glass surface that you are describing. This could create a dangerous situation.

If the glass top needs to be replaced, I only recommend using the original glass top that is designed for the product.
