I have a Craftsman EZ3 mower.I replaced the spark plug it still won't start. Should I replace the solid state ignition or flywheel?

It is a Craftsman EZ3 mower (model 917.387150). I properly gapped and replaced the spark plug, but it still won't start. I replaced the air filter. There is no spark seen. Would it be the Solid state ignition or the flywheel? They are expensive and nonreturnable parts so I don't want to buy both.

Hold a screwdriver or some other piece of metal against the magnets in the flywheel. If the magnets are good, the problem is in the ignition module. If the magnets won't hold the metal, replace the flywheel
