How to I drain the oil in my Craftsman rotary mower if I can't find the oil drain plug?

I bought this mower a while back and I need to change the oil. I looked in the manual and I can't locate the drain plug as it is described in the manual. Can you advise?

Without out knowing the model number of your mower I will not be able to provide any model specific instructions. Generally speaking if it has a drain plug of fill plug it will have to be located along the lower side of the engine block, or underneath the deck. It's possible that it may not have one. If it does not have one the mower will likely have an oil fill tube with an oil dipstick. If you have the model with an oil level dipstick and no drain plug, the procedure to drain oil is to remove the oil level dipstick and lean the mower over on the side of the dipstick tube and the oil will drain out the filler/dipstick tube.

NOTE

: Be sure to lean mower on the side the side the dipstick/filler tube is located on.
