Since one or more of the components in the door latch assembly of your dishwasher is broken and you cannot open the door to access the parts normally, you will likely need to try and pull off the front outside panel that is below the console.
Shut off the breaker for the dishwasher
and follow the procedure at the top of the first image below to remove the outside panel of the dishwasher. With this panel removed, you may be able to manipulate the linkage for the door latch to get the door open. The parts of the door latch assembly are show on the right side of the image below. There is a linkage (Key 5 in the bottom parts image) that will release the latch (Key 4 in the top parts image) from the door catch. If you can release this latch with the outside door panel removed, then you will be able to open the door and use the procedure for removing the console to access and examine the door latch assembly.
Determine the parts that you need to replace. You can order parts from the
website. Use your full model number to access the parts list diagram for your exact dishwasher. After replacing the parts, follow the procedures below for reassembling the console and outer door panel.
If you need more help, resubmit your question with additional details and the full model number of your KitchenAid dishwasher (if you can get the door open).
