Why won't my Kenmore 90 Series washer operate in the wash cycle even though it works in the rinse cycles?

The washer seem perfectly fine except that all of the wash cycles will not work. It will fill, drain, & swish everything around in all of the rinse cycles.

We would need to know the full model number of your washer to help predict the cause of this failure. There are many different models of Kenmore 90 Series washers that have various controls. It is extremely unusual for a washer to agitate in the rinse cycle but not in the wash cycle. Although you indicated that the washer will drain, you did not indicate whether it will spin. I recommend that your resubmit your question with the full model number of your washer and additional details (whether it will spin, whether the timer advances normally when it is not agitating in the wash cycle). We will be glad to help you with this problem once we receive the additional information.
