Why won't my Kenmore model 110.28803890 washer drain or spin?

All other cycles work on each different cycle but no matter which one you put it on it just stops when it gets to spin. I can turn it around and it will agitate and wash and do everything else like its supposed to but will not spin or drain water. It just happened all of the sudden and now my washer is stuck full of water and I was wondering if this is something I can fix myself.

If the washer will fill and agitate in every cycle but won't drain or spin the most likely cause of this problem is a bad lid switch.

A bad lid switch will allow this washer to fill and agitate but it won't let it drain or spin.

The image below shows how to access the lid switch. The switch can be checked for continuity with a volt/ohm meter if you have access to one and are comfortable using it.

The instructions also show how to bypass the lid switch. Use caution if you try this. Your particular washer has two end caps that must be removed to access the two screws holding the console down.

The lid switch is part number 3949238 and is available from the following link:

I hope this information helps you resolves your problem and lets you empty the water from the washer. You can submit another question with any additional details for further assistance.
