Why is my GE electric range displaying an F3 error code?

by Manage My Life Last activity date:

This is a GE Radiant slide-in electric range model number 911.46756590. I replaced the sensor probe WB21X5301 & the oven still goes off after 30-45 minutes. The technician at Sears recommended this part but it didn't work. What else could it be?

The F3 error code indicates a problem with the sensor circuit; this doesn’t always mean that replacing the sensor will solve the problem. The harness to the sensor could be open or shorted. You will need to use a meter to check the sensor circuit wiring harness in order to come up with a final diagnosis. You will need to access the EOC electronic oven control & check the sensor circuit from there for a starting point. The value of the sensor should be 1090ohms + or – 5% @ 75 degrees.
