The igniter that you receive will look like the one in the first image below. The brackets that attach your igniter to the burner assembly are shown in the second image. There is not a procedure available that describes this repair on this older model of Kenmore oven. If you are able to
shut off the breaker
and remove the bottom panel of the oven, you should be able to access the igniter. Remove the old igniter from the brackets. You man need to access the wire harness connections for the igniter from the back of the oven. The original igniter may have wires attached with a disconnect instead of ceramic wire nuts shown in the parts image below. You may need to cut the wires and connect the new igniter with the ceramic wire nuts provided. Attach the new igniter using the brackets. Reassemble the oven and test the operation.
