Kenmore Elite microwave. combo cook or Convection cook cycle runs less than one minute and then shuts off and displays F-5. Regular microwave functions work fine.

Issue

: What does F-5 code mean on my microwave?

Solution

: Without a model number for your microwave, I am unable to access the specific technical information. such as meanings for error codes. However, I provided a general resolution for problem based on the information submitted with question.

There are several reasons why a microwave may display an error code between F1-F9.

Turn off the power to the Microwave for about 60 seconds. You can do this by doing a hard reset or unplugging the power cord from the wall. After waiting the 60 seconds return power to the microwave and check to see if the error code has been cleared.

If the error code is still in the display it may require service by one of our qualified expert technicians.
