The rear wheels on my Craftsman riding lawn mower seem to be locked. What can cause this?

Without a model number of your riding mower, we can't pull up any information on it. I am sending you some general information on riding mowers.

The most common problem when the rear wheels are locked is the brake pads. If the brake pads are stuck, you can't push or drive the mower.

The brake pads usually run on a brake disc on the side of the transaxle. Spraying the brake pads and disc with some WD40 and working the brake pedal up and down will sometimes release the pads.

You can see the brake pads from under the mower to see if they are stuck.
