I have a Kenmore dishwasher model 665.16032401. It has a flashing CLEAN light and won't wash dishes. How can I fix this problem?

The flashing CLEAN light indicates a problem with the water heating circuit. The control did not detect a proper increase in water temperature during a water heating interval of the cycle. This can be caused by a failed heating element or a number of other problems.

You can reset the control by starting a diagnostic test cycle. Press these buttons in this order within 5 seconds to start the diagnostic cycle: HEATED DRY - NORMAL WASH - HEATED DRY - NORMAL WASH. The lights will all turn on briefly on the control then the dishwasher will start a brief test cycle. You can cancel this cycle. Start a new cycle and check to see if the heating element in the bottom of the tub is working properly. If not, it may need to be replaced. If you keep getting the CLEAN light blinking fault, I recommend that you have a service technician diagnose and repair the dishwasher.

If you need more help, resubmit your question with additional details.
