What went wrong when the soap dispenser fell out of my Kenmore model 417.4405244 front load washer and now it won't start even though the lights are blinking?

I have a model 4174405244 Kenmore washer and the soap dispenser feel out and now it won't start at all.

If the dispenser fell and now the washer won't start most likely the magnet fell out of the drawer.

There is a small magnet, part key 51 in the 1st image below, in the handle of the dispenser. There is a reed switch the magnet closes when the drawer is pushed all the way in. The idea was to prevent any water fill if the dispenser drawer was not in place. See the 2nd image for a picture of the magnet's location.

Look around on the floor for the magnet. If you don't find it then you can obtain a replacement magnet 131373800 from the following link:
