How do I remove a "#11 Basket Lock Nut" from a Kenmore Washer, mod #11024872300. I found the #11 Basket Lock Nut" from the online diagram for this washer.

The spanner nut (key#11) will require a spanner wrench and a hammer to remove or real large pair of channel lock pliers. The spanner nut will un-thread by turning it counterclockwise (CCW). The spanner wrench is available at Sears Parts Direct. The part number is TB123. I added a link to Sears Parts Direct with the spanner wrench looked up for you. Click on "Wrench" below to open link.
