My chainsaw is very hard to start. The low and high settings on the carb. were changed. What is the proper way to set the low and high settings on the carb?

Received suggestion that I add the model number to the above question to see if my chainsaw has this type of carb. #358.360150. Thank you.

The adjusting needles should be removed and cleaned. The holes the needles came from should be blown out with air pressure.

Turn both needles in until they seat. Back both needles out 1 1/2 turn. The chainsaw should start in this position. Crank the engine and hold the trigger in to make the engine run full speed. With the engine running turn the high speed needle clockwise until the engine runs rough. Turn the needle counter clockwise slowly until the engine runs smooth.

Make this adjustment with both screws and the engine should run smoothly and at the highest fuel efficiency.
