You will receive the gritty residue on your dishes if the removable filter is dirty or improperly installed. If the filters are dirty, it will cause a drop in cleaning performance of the dishwasher.

The filters need to be cleaned when

:

Visible objects or soils are on the Upper Filter Assembly

There are food particles or soils still present on the dishes

Dishes feel gritty to the touch

Cleaning the filter can be based on visual signs that it needs to be cleaned or based on the recommended intervals of the Cleaning Chart. The chart can be found in the Owner's manual.

Filter Removal Instructions

:

Turn the Upper Filter Assembly 1/4 turn counterclockwise and lift out.

Grasp the Lower Filter in the circular opening, lift slightly, and pull forward to remove.
