Could running my dishwasher without water turned on to it have ruined my water pump?

We have a Kenmore Elite dishwasher model 630.16303404. We did it once.

If you only ran the dishwasher once without water supplied to it and the dishwasher still works normally then it is not likely damaged. You did not mention that you were having any problems with the dishwasher. If you have not tried using it yet, I recommend that you open the water cut-off valve and try the dishwasher to see if it will fill and pump water properly. It likely will. If you are not having any apparent problems then you should be able to continue using the dishwasher normally. NOTE: You may want to keep an eye out for water leaking underneath the dishwasher in case a water seal was damaged. Although unlikely, this is possible.
