Why are the light bulbs not working on my Kenmore microwave?

I have a Kenmore microwave model number 721.80599402 that the lower lights are not working. I have no power to the sockets & have continuity from socket to circuit board.

I changed bulbs in bottom of microwave. As I removed bulb heard popping noise like light bulb popping. I replaced bulbs they & they don’t work. I checked for voltage with meter at sockets no voltage. Checked harness from sockets to circuit board for continuity checks fine. Is there a bench test for keypad? A replacement is $90.00. I did leave unit plugged in while changing bulbs could I have cooked it? Microwave works fine even the indicator for lights works on screen high, night and off. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You should always disconnect power to the unit before replacing the light bulbs. It sounds like the relay on the control board has shorted if you have no power out to the light bulb harness connector. I do not suspect the touchpad. I recommend replacing the control board; part number 6871W1S128C.
