Why does my refrigerator make noises?

My Kenmore Elite model number 363PDS18LBMCC makes a banging noise when the motor finishes its cycle? When the motor finishes a cycle a bang occurred. I know that it can be the expansion and contraction, yet the bang is louder than normal and it seems to be getting louder.

You did not mention any operational issues so I assume your refrigerator is working normally. Typically, anything with mechanical and electrical components will make noise from time to time and will eventually make new noises or the old noises get louder. I have included a link to your owners’ manual, the section on refrigerator noise starts on page 18. Please click here

Owners’ manual

If the noise is becoming bothersome or the unit begins to fail, I highly recommend calling a service professional to diagnose and repair your appliance.
