To clean the drain pan under your refrigerator you will need a few items:

Philips screw driver

Glove (Optional)

Turn the power off to the fridge prior to servicing

The refrigerator will stay cold for this 10 minute process if the doors remain shut.

Remove the front grill of your refrigerator. You will now be able to see the drain pan.

Pull the drain pan forward to fully remove.

Clean all debris and water from the pan. Use mild dish soap if necessary.

Replace the drain pan and the grille.

The drain pan should not be overfilling. The system was created to be low maintenance. Here are some things that can affect the water accumulation in a refrigerator.

Doors are not sealing properly or are being left open for extended periods of time.

Back cover is missing or not fully seated to the back of the refrigerator.

High humidity within home

Spills and warm liquids within the fridge.

: Make sure to let large items cool to room temperature before storing in the refrigerator to prevent moisture build up.
