How do I replace digital control panel circuit board on my Jenn-Air range?

This is Jenn-Air electric range with convection oven. It is model SCE30600B. We purchased the control panel circuit board from the Sears parts dept. We've unplugged the old one & plugged the new part in. When we turn the electricity back on, the oven light & fan both run constantly. The numbers on the digital display show & flash a time of 8:34 but none of the touch pads are responding. We then put the old part back in and turned the electricity back on. We get the same thing: Oven light & fan both on steadily, etc. Quite a while ago, we were getting a fault code, I think F-1. Can you help us?

Your symptoms point to a bad membrane overlay assembly (control panel). The F-1 normally indicates a short in this assembly or the ribbon wire that connects to the control board. It is possible that the control board (part 71001799R) is okay and did not need to be replaced. Replacing the membrane overlay assembly part 71002233 will likely fix this problem.
