My chainsaw's starter rope is very hard to pull. After it starts, it will run for a few minutes and then die. Why?

It is a Craftsman chain saw, gas model 358.360260.

Be sure the gas in the saw is mixed to the correct fuel/oil mixture. Be sure the gas is no older the 5 weeks.

If the gas is ok, I suspect you have internal damage to the saw. I recommend taking the saw to a Sears Parts and Service Center or a Sears Retail Store for repair.
