I have a dread-lock like knot in my hair, how do I get it out?

Try peanut butter or WD40. They work for getting gum out of hair. Should work for you. Good luck!

There are two basic ways to get the knot out:

1) You may cut the effected portion of your hair or;

2) Soak your hair in hot water for 10 minutes, shampoo the knot and rinse. Afterward apply conditioner and then with a comb, gently work out the knot.

Either way, you should see a professional stylist to either help remove the knot and/or help repair the post knot damage.

Thanks and good luck.

My hair gets deadlock knots all the time. Next time this happens to you follow this process:
1. let warm water run through for a little while. 2. Apply thick coat of deep conditioning on the affected area. 3. massage the knot with both hands for 1 minute. 4. Use a wide comb (with large comb teeth that are far appart) and start combing through the affected area starting at the bottom and working your way up. 5. Leave warm water running because you need to get in and out the water on your hair to keep the moisture. 6. Once the knot is out shampoo and condition as usual. Hope this helps.
