Is there a compressor reset button on a Kenmore refrigerator that is not cooling?

A substantial amount of lint was cleared from the coils of my side by side Kenmore refrigerator, and it still does not cool. The coil fan motor runs but there is no cooling.

You cleaned the lint out and the fan is running but the refrigerator is not cooling. There is no reset button for the compressor but a model number would be helpful giving you a more specific answer.

One thing you might listen for is a click or a hum as the compressor tries to start/run. Often the problem is with the start relay and overload and not the compressor itself. The compressor might be bad but it also might be a start relay that is bad.

I'd recommend a technician check this. The relay/overload would be an economical repair to make while the compressor would not be.

Submit another question with a model number for further assistance with this problem.
